The University of South Wales is delighted to invite applications for a research assistant to be based within the Faculty of Life Sciences and Education (FLSE) aligned to the Sport, Health and Exercise Science research programme. Over two thirds of the research was rated world leading or internationally excellent overall during the most recent (2014) Research Excellence Framework (REF). This position represents another major investment in the University's next generation researchers/scholars and is integral to planning for its next REF (2021) submission.
This role provides an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified individual to join a growing multidisciplinary team within the Neurovascular Research Laboratory at The University of South Wales. The research assistant will assist with the planning and running of research studies that are aligned to the strategic focus of the Neurovascular Research Laboratory (e.g. ageing, concussion and hypoxia). They will also be expected to actively contribute to the expanding research profile of the School of Health, Sport and Professional Practice through the publication of scientific manuscripts.
You must have: a PhD in the field of health and exercise science and demonstrate evidence of highly developed scientific writing skills. You will have up to date knowledge in the field of health and exercise science and a research interest in ageing, concussion and/or hypoxia.
This position is based at the Glyntaff Campus of the University of South Wales.
