The Faculty of Life Sciences and Education, School of Care Sciences is seeking to appoint an experienced administrator who will be able to work both with current and future studies within the Health and Social Care Cognate Research Group. The post requires someone with experience of supporting the team who manage the research studies to specific timeframes, and coordinating multiple stakeholders. This will require the post holder to be methodical, be able to work across higher education as well as health, social care, private and industrial related partnerships while coordinating diverse studies. Two examples of current contracts include PRIME Centre Wales and the Evaluation of Age Related Macular Degeneration (AMD) Primary Care Pilot Schemes. Both of which are funded by Welsh Government and require broad collaborative working with university partners, NHS, third sector and industry partners. The post holder will be responsible for coordinating the administration of these contracts.
Therefore, it will be important for the post holder to have substantial experience of providing research administration to a number of studies at any one time, will have strong administrative and office process skills and good IT skills across MS Office packages, good organisational and communication skills, collecting complex data meaning the ideal candidate will be very organised ensuring that complex budgets are managed, and that relationships between researchers, stakeholders are managed respectfully.
