This is an exciting new post providing significant educational development leadership and academic capacity strengthening to USW’s Centre for the Enhancement of Learning and Teaching (CELT). CELT has a new, enhancement-focused, remit framed around an integrated hubs and spokes model of partnership with Faculties and Support Service Departments. CELT has two main work foci from August 1st 2017: the USW Educational Development Framework and the USW Distinctive Offer. The role takes leadership for the USW Distinctive Offer strand of CELT’s work: leading specifically on Distinctive Curriculum activities and with line management oversight of the linked Distinctive Learning Environment strand. As a key member of CELT’s management team, and acting as Deputy Director, the role will also include core academic activity for example teaching on the PgCLTHE, undertaking your own and supporting others’ pedagogic research / SOTL and contributing to our in-house HEA accredited recognition scheme TSL@USW. Currency and expertise in curriculum design and educational enhancement are core to this role.
