The University of South Wales is looking to recruit an Advice Zone Assistant. Advice Zone Assistants offer information, advice and referral on a broad range of issues relating to pastoral and academic matter, complete related administration, update records and follow up individual cases as required.
Following the merger of the university and a review of its services and systems, a decision was made to change the way that front line services are delivered. In autumn 2015, a project group was established to direct and lead on this change.
The project brief was to develop Advice Zones at each campus that would provide a professional, student-focussed, ‘single-gateway’, physical and virtual, to the range of information and support services available to USW students.
The first phase of the project was completed in September 2016 with the co-location of services and the movement of staff from Student Administration Services to Student Services.
You will be joining the Advice Zone at the next phase of its development. The Advice Team has been through a process of re-structure with a change to job roles and teams to meet the project objectives of high student satisfaction, greater operational efficiency and equity of student experience and service.
