The Faculty of Life Sciences and Education is looking for an enthusiastic Lecturer, experienced and qualified in Art Psychotherapy, to contribute to the Masters in Art Psychotherapy and to support the continued development of the University’s arts therapies provision. This is an opportunity to make an important contribution to arts therapies training in South Wales, joining a vibrant and enthusiastic team. This course is one of a range of psychotherapeutic programmes in an area of growth at the university and is housed in purpose built teaching and clinical accommodation at Newport City Campus.
The successful applicant will be an experienced Art Psychotherapist, registered with the HCPC and relevant professional body. The successful applicant will have a commitment to excellence in learning, teaching and professional practice, and will preferably have previous experience of teaching in Higher or Further Education.
The successful applicant will be expected to use their clinical skills in group work and supervision as well as pursuing their own areas of research. He/she will play a key role in identifying and contributing to the management of suitable clinical placements in accordance with the learning requirements of the programme.
This position is based at Newport City Campus of the University of South Wales.
