The Faculty of Life Sciences and Education, School of Care Sciences, is seeking to appoint a Senior Lecturer in Midwifery to join an existing team of academic staff. The applicant will contribute to a range of modules and courses across pre and post registration provision and engage in programmes of scholarly activity and research. The post holder will be the Course Leader for the Bachelor of Midwifery Programme and be involved in the development of Post Graduate provision, assume the role of module manager and engage as a practice placement link for a number of clinical areas
The post holder must be an experienced academic and three years or more post-registration clinical experience. The applicant should have experience of delivering and managing a midwifery curriculum, have skill and confidence in assessment and diagnostic techniques, managing complex needs and a broad understanding of the legal and professional implications of delivering midwifery services within contemporary society. The post holder must have active midwifery registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council and have current experience of facilitating the learning of students across a range of settings.
The post holder will initially be based at the Glyntaff site.
