Work Placement Partner

The Careers and Employability Service, within the Learning Services Department, are seeking to appoint a Work Placement Partner as maternity cover for up to 12 months to join the highly successful Work Placement Team. The Work Placement Team play a significant role in the strategic planning, development and delivery of employability within the Faculty, with specific reference to work experience and placements.
Work Placement Partners work closely with students, academics and employers to facilitate work placements within the curriculum. This includes matching the needs of USW students and courses to work experience opportunities, managing the work placement process, sourcing opportunities for students, generating student applications, Tier 4 compliance notification, Health and Safety checks and risk assessments.
Applicants for the post should be able to demonstrate experience of working in a role related to the provision of work experience, placements, recruitment, funding and training; have experience of working in a project based, target driven environment; have good labour market knowledge; experience of business and student engagement; and a good understanding of the issues related to students and graduates seeking work experience / employment.
