The University Secretary’s Office is looking for an experienced manager to join the team on a fixed term part-time contract.

Under the guidance of the Assistant University Secretary and the University Secretary the post-holder will manage the support to a range of committees, Boards, cross-university groups involved in governance and compliance areas. Duties will include HEFCW, Charity Commission and Companies House returns, Risk Register and managing Internal Audit.

The successful candidate will have the ability to manage a wide and varied workload to strict deadlines and will require excellent interpersonal skills and a proactive attitude towards the role. An excellent standard of written English is essential, along with experience in servicing committees/working groups.

The candidate must be a resourceful and flexible team worker, able to work with little supervision, extremely well organised and with well-developed IT skills. Strong communication and minute writing skills are essential together with the ability to deal sensitively and diplomatically with people at all levels across the University and externally.

This position is based at Treforest Campus of the University of South Wales.

The terms and conditions of the post (including grade and salary) will be those of the University of South Wales.
