The School of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of South Wales is seeking to appoint a 0.5 FTE Grade F Lecturer in Public Services. We are seeking applications from highly motivated candidates committed to teaching to supporting students through innovative teaching practice. Candidates with a background in professional practice and training are also encouraged to apply for this position.

The successful candidate will join the wider Social Policy subject team, and will be expected to contribute, in particular, to teaching on BA Public Services. We are seeking an experienced teacher who will share the team’s commitment to applied pedagogic practice and who will contribute to the growth public services provision at the university. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate evidence of their experience of innovative practice in teaching, learning and assessment and of working to deliver a high standard of student experience. We are particularly seeking applications from individuals with expertise in public service leadership and governance.

For this position, it is an expectation the candidate will be able to demonstrate a commitment to research and to be eligible to be contribute to the Research Excellence Framework. The successful candidate would also be expected to add to the extensive experience in Social Policy of advising government and other external stakeholders through contract research and consultancy.

This position is based at the Treforest Campus of the University of South Wales.
