Lecturer in Biochemistry and Pharmacology

The Faculty of Computing, Engineering and Science is seeking a Lecturer (Teaching) to deliver and develop the teaching of biochemistry and pharmacology across a diverse range of courses within the School of Applied Sciences, in particular BSc Medical Sciences, BSc Human Biology, BSc Pharmaceutical Science and the newly established BSc Medicinal and Biological Chemistry degree.

The successful applicant will need to demonstrate a depth of knowledge in biochemistry and pharmacology, as well as an ability to teach medically-related aspects of these subject areas. As well as contributing to areas of subject specialism, the applicant would also be expected to teach within the general subject of biology across all levels.

This position is principally a teaching post and the successful applicant should demonstrate a commitment to the development of learning and teaching strategies with a focus on the students’ learning experience across a range of subject-related modules. The postholder would also be expected to contribute to the administrative, recruitment and development activities of the School

This position is based at the Glyntaff campus of the University of South Wales.
