Applications are invited for a permanent Lectureship in Computer Science. The successful candidate will have a PhD, recent academic research publications aligned to our curriculum and be committed to excellence in research informed teaching. Computer Science is a dynamic department, active in research and consultancy, with a vibrant programme that encompasses BSc/MComp Computer Science and BSc/MComp Computer Games Development with plans for expanding upon our existing Artificial Intelligence provision.

Research areas include Knowledge Automation, Software Security, Autonomous Systems and Data Science, structured alongside research across the school within research units comprising: Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Paradigms, Geographical Information Systems, Hypermedia, Data Integrity, Integrated Communications, Information Security and Medical Imaging.

The role will involve delivery of modules within the Computer Science section, requiring an excellent general foundation in applied Computer Science and strong programming experience in particular. You will have excellent communication skills and be committed to high quality teaching. Your contribution to research and consultancy will be strongly encouraged, with support provided in the development of your personal research profile. You will possess a range of skills necessary to complement and enhance scholarly activity within the department, and to assist its growing reputation both locally and internationally.
