Senior Lecturer/ Course Leader in Operational Policing

This position is based at one of our partnered police forces across the South West. The forces include Dorset and Devon & Cornwall. Please indicate, in order of preference, the Force(s) you wish to work with.

The post holder will contribute to the delivery of the School’s growing award base in the operational policing arena, particularly the College of Policing’s Policing Education Qualifications Framework (PEQF) entry routes. The post holder will be responsible for providing effective and high quality learning opportunities for students off campus.

The post holder will also be required to contribute to an excellent student experience for all student officers and policing apprentices, and provide appropriate support and pastoral care for them. A key part of this role relates to the collaborative aspect of delivering operational policing programmes and will involve ensuring that key stakeholders work together to deliver programmes that align to the requirements of police force(s), the College of Policing and USW. Part of this role will also include scholarly activity and the undertaking of applied research to enable knowledge transfer to internal and external stakeholders.
