The University are looking for an experienced, driven and passionate Building Surveyor who will form part of an exciting Estates Development and Maintenance team and assist in providing vital data to enable strategic direction to the Head of Estate Development and Maintenance and Director of Estates & Facilities. The role will advise on the physical condition of the estates buildings and campuses and support all departments to deliver quality solutions for our students.This role will be of critical importance to develop annual and long-term maintenance plans, in understanding the value of our assets, and the condition of our estate.

The estate is complex and spread across multiple sites with numerous buildings of varying natures and ages across all University South Wales Campuses (Inclusive of; Pontypridd, Newport and Cardiff).
The Estates Building Surveyor, who should be highly technically competent and knowledgeable with regards to building fabric and services, will ensure the delivery of high quality estates services to all campus buildings focussing on condition survey work, asset tagging, and development of Planned Preventative Maintenance plans. The post will also undertake some project management functions including minor building works, refurbishments, and repairs. The role is integral to the department and wider University, and the post holder will work across various teams, including projects, sustainability, and maintenance.
