The College Merthyr Tydfil wishes to recruit part-time, hourly-paid lecturers to support the delivery of its new part-time curriculum provision. As this provision is very much customer demand-led, we are seeking appropriate staff to be available to cover a range of hours during the day-time and evenings, and also potentially at weekends.

Actual contracted hours will be based on customer demand and the successful candidates' capability and availability. These part-time, hourly-paid posts will commence on an hourly rate* of between £22.16 and £36.16 per hour, dependent on experience (* Derived from a full-time equivalent salary of £24,807 - £40,484).

The role of these part-time, hourly-paid lecturers, engaged in the successful delivery of the part-time curriculum provision is to maintain and effectively deliver / quality assure an appropriate caseload of vocational training to learners and participants enrolled on this provision. The part-time, hourly-paid lecturers will support the identification of the correct course of learning for participants, and then deliver the necessary, relevant assessment and/or provide internal quality assurance of VQs and/or vocational training courses to allow the participant to successfully achieve the appropriate qualification. The part-time, hourly-paid lecturers will also provide personal support, advice, and guidance for the operations' participant's allocated to them.

They will work closely with the Director of Planning and Operations, and the wider college staff team to ensure the college achieves its part-time funding target. A DBS check is required prior commencing employment. You will also be required to be registered with the Education Workforce Council.

Appointed candidates will be appropriately qualified, and as required, vocationally competent, with a proven track record and up-to-date experience of delivering training and/or assessing and/or quality assuring training courses, and/or VQs in one or more of the following fields * (Applicants need to list the fields in which they are qualified and/or vocationally competent on their application form):

•          Hybrid Automotive and Vehicle Maintenance
